Why I Joined Access Pro Medical

When I think about what led me to join Access Pro Medical, the answer is simple. One word: MatriDerm! I am grateful for the opportunity to represent such a remarkable product in the medical device market. My inspiration to pursue a career in medical devices was fostered, in part, by my best friend and mentor who gave me guidance and a glimpse into a field of work with one of the most dynamic working environments a career could ever have!

At Access Pro, no two days are ever the same. My work as a Strategic Market Development Manager allows me to represent a company and products that were designed to help patients live better lives — this is my passion that has fueled my work here at Access Pro Medical. Throughout my work here, I’ve seen that MatriDerm is truly a unique collagen elastin matrix. My impression of MatriDerm has evolved as I have witnessed the impact that MatriDerm has on transforming surgeons’ algorithms for treating patients.

MatriDerm puts the surgeon back in total control and is the superior option for their patients, with faster vascularization rates of 3 to 7 days, which leads to less time to grafting, and lower infection rates of 0-5%, backed by 20+ years of clinical evidence/use.

What It Means to Expect Better

Working at Access Pro Medical has allowed me to truly utilize over a decade of my experience and knowledge in wound reconstruction. It has deeply impacted my professional career and I am excited to assist in the professional development of my colleagues. My role has allowed me tremendous opportunities, both internally and externally, at our company. Internally, I get to align with both the clinical and sales teams to work on strategic projects. Externally, I have the ability to work with some of the biggest IDNs and thought leaders in the complex wound reconstruction market in the US.

Recently, I was part of the New Hire Sales Training in Augusta, GA. It was super exciting to see the next generation of MatriDerm Sales Professionals take shape right before our eyes with the sharing of knowledge amongst our Clinical and Sales leadership teams.

Looking to the future, I am most excited about the potential to bring MatriDerm to more surgeons/hospitals in the US Market so we can play a bigger role in helping patients heal faster while helping surgeons improve outcomes and, overall, impact economic factors in healthcare. MatriDerm is a disruptive technology that helps surgeons expect better in their dermal matrices!

Working at Access Pro has allowed me to continue investing in my hobbies and interests. I am passionate about time spent with my family as we like to travel internationally together. I am an avid hockey/golf/soccer fanatic. Time spent with family parallels our product MatriDerm, specifically in helping surgeons heal patients faster with better outcomes so they too can return home to their families. I always tell my surgeons to Expect Better!
